Dear Friends, Family, Community, Fellow animal lovers and fellow Humans,

My best friend/my fur child (my only child, since I do not have children) beloved French Bulldog, the one and only BERNIE MAC, is facing a little hiccup on his quest for a long and happy life - a hefty $18,000 surgery bill. If I had the means or the money, I would INSTANTLY take him and pay whatever the costs to help him, but alas, sadly I do not have the means and life has thrown us this curveball.

So this brings me here today, reaching out to you kind souls to help my best friend. Help me keep Bernie around for a long time. He's not just a pet; he's family, a source of endless joy and unconditional love. The thought of putting him down breaks my heart, and I'm doing everything I can to spare him that fate.

Every dollar you contribute brings us closer to ensuring Bernie Mac gets the care he needs. This isn't just about a dog; it's about preserving a cherished bond, a friendship that has weathered every storm. I've had him since he was 4 months old, he is now 4 years old. I took him home a few months before COVID and shelter in place started. I can say confidently he helped me through that weird COVID time. Your support will not only help in funding the surgery but also provide Bernie with the chance to run, play, and bring joy and smiles to many people, for many more years to come.

In this plea for help, I am humbled and grateful for any contribution, big or small. Together, we can make a difference and let Bernie continue to be the source of joy and part of our family and community, that he has always been.

I am no mathematician, but I am hoping we can reach 10,000 people. If we could get 10,000 people to donate $2 we would reach our goal for the surgeries and have a little left over for his rehab. However, I am a realist and taking things one step at a time. I just want to get his surgery funded and I will focus on rehab when we get there.

If by some divine miracle we reach our goal and have funds left over, I will donate all remaining funds to local animal shelters, animal hospitals and rescues.
