This is Bella! She’s our 5-year-old pit mix and we love her dearly. She’s more than just a pet to us, she’s our family.

This past Tuesday (August 6th), we came home to see that our Bella had been limping and in a matter of minutes, she could no longer move. Her body shaking, we immediately knew something was wrong. We took her to the veterinarian to only find out this issue had to do with an injury to her spine that had progressed over time. This was from 11pm to 3am that we were told we had to go to an animal hospital in the morning. From that night on, she can no longer move her lower body.

Morning came, we were told she is going to need a mandated surgery for her spine and that the cost for everything would be more than $15,000. We have been calling a few places some don’t want to give me a quote unless I pay anywhere between $252-$500 for consult to then give estimate but they all say mri is around $5k-8k and that isn’t including surgery My dog is still in Aquebogue veterinary hospital you can call and inquire. You can find their phone online. They really are trying to help, by reaching out to surgeons to see if the cost can be less no luck yet. 

My husband, 4 kids, and myself have grown with Bella and have grown to love her so much. We’re hoping that creating this GoFundMe can help us out. Whatever anyone can give will be so appreciated. We will continue to pray and ask for any prayers as well to help us see this through to get our Bella better and to keep her alive.
