Hi, my name is Lisa Cheney and I am Becky Lemp Ankiewicz's sister. Today, her cat Jesse, a beloved family member, fell ill. Jesse is at the Bulger Veterinary Hospital in North Andover, MA and he had emergency surgery today for a urinary track blockage. The veterinarians must run more tests to detect why there is fluid around his organs and to see if his bladder is perforated.

Becky's son Dylan loves Jesse so much. Becky's birthday is on Monday and she has already requested that family members donate money for this surgery instead of purchasing cake or gifts.

The initial surgery cost $5800 and the veterinarian's office estimates between $5000 and $6000 for the ultrasound and additional surgery, if needed. Becky has already paid out $5800 and donations would first go to mitigate that huge credit card bill. If the additional fee is incurred we will arrange for it to go straight to the hospital.

I aim to raise enough money to cover Jesse's care. If we exceed the amount needed or do not need the full amount, we will donate it to PALS Animal Life Savers in Salem, where I adopted my beloved Cora and Carrie.

I've never initiated a Go Fund Me, but this is a good reason. Our pets are our family and we love them so much. If you can donate I/We will be grateful.
