- Hello, this is Beatriz Fonseca Rivera. This morning, on her way to church, she was pulled over by the local authorities. Seeing that she did not have documentation, they called ICE, who picked her up and transported her to Hancock County Jail. Tomorrow she will be transported to an ICE processing center in Basille, LA. Her family is trying to raise funds to secure a lawyer immediately, as tomorrow is the most important day in the process, as well as funds for her bond for release. Beatriz came to America in 2012 to seek refuge and start a new life. She has worked very hard cleaning houses and hospitals, and has adopted 18 cats off the street, getting them spayed/neutered and feeding them daily. She suffers from many chronic illnesses, like Lupus and Fibromyalgia. She has dedicated her life to doing God’s work and providing for her children. Please help us raise the funds we need to ensure she has quality representation so we can get her back home safely while she continues her process to acquire documentation.
