Hello and thank you for your concern regarding my sweet 3 year old, Lab-Doberman mix, Bear.
On Monday, April 7, 2025, Bear was having a normal day-ate and played, went for his walks-then suddenly started vomiting, foaming at the mouth, became disoriented, and couldn’t stand up. We rushed him to the emergency hospital immediately. Unfortunately, Bears condition worsened, he went into anaphylactic shock and liver failure within the hour of the first symptoms. He required immediate care to save his life. Bear had to spend multiple nights in the vet hospital with around the clock care in ICU, which led to 3 plasma transfusions as well as countless tests and medications to get his liver to start working to clot the blood.
As a pet parent we will do anything to save their lives and I’ve exhausted every avenue which brings me here. I know we are in tough times and I hate to even ask for help; but my applications for care credit were denied and my family was able to help me with the deposit but the remaining balance is too much. I want to bring my sick boy home, but the vet bills have exceeded $5,700 as of now (Thursday April 10).
I humbly am asking for any help to bring Bear home. Any donation of even pocket change would help at this point. If there is anyway you could help Bear and I, we would be forever grateful. Thank you for your support and care for Bear.
