Bayt Sara is the first vegan restaurant in Jordan. It is home to over 180 cats and a sanctuary to those in need. The owner is Sara Bana, a Romanian Palestinian humanitarian, who opened Bayt Sara 8 years ago. She is a beacon of the community for those in need, for stray cats, as well as many other animals.

Since October 7th, 2023, when Gaza started, Bayt Sara has been struggling to remain open. Now it's at risk of closing and unable to feed all the cats that it's home to. Sara gives to everyone in the community and now needs help to save her animal rescue and restaurant.
