Hi, I am Nusrat Meraji, a Barrister at Law. I live in Melbourne and I am fundraising for a beautiful 4 year old baby girl Zahra, who lives in Bangladesh.

Baby Zahra battles stage 4 cancer and has just been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital in Bangladesh. Her cancer has spread throughout her internal organs and she needs immediate surgery, possibly including a kidney removal.

In order to give their baby the best treatment, her parents are trying to fly her out to a hospital in Chennai, India, for the surgery, under a specialist.

At the moment, Zahra's parents are struggling to pay approximately AUD 625.00 (approximately 50,000 Bangladeshi Taka) per day, to continue to secure a place for Zahra in the ICU.

However, moving forward, if they want to even consider a chance of flying Zahra out to India for treatment, they are looking at more expenses, including but not limited to the following:

Although it is hard to say what the total expenses will amount to, it can safely be said that it will likely surpass AUD 10,000.00. However, I hope this can turn out to be a good starting point for the family.

As I type this, her family is running around, struggling not only emotionally but also financially, while they try to scrap together every penny they can for their little girl's treatment.
