Save Baby Terrance by Funding Zolgensma

Terrance is 18-months-old and lives in Nepal. Diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 2), he needs a lifesaving gene therapy before he turns two. SMA robs Terrance’s muscles of a vital protein, causing his muscles to slowly die. Left untreated, he won’t live to see his fifth birthday.

A gene therapy drug called Zolgensma is available but only in the United States. Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio has declared Terrance eligible for the treatment at their hospital! This one-time treatment will not just save Terrance’s life, and permanently halt the disease’s progression.

Zolgensma is the most expensive drug in the world – treating Terrance in Columbus will cost 2.4 million US dollars. But Terrance’s family only earns $200 a month. Zolgensma is out of reach… unless we help from outside Nepal.

It isn’t just the cost. Zolgensma must be administered before a child turns two years old. Terrance turns two on October 6, 2020. If left untreated, Terrance is not expected to live past age 5. The deadline is fast approaching and the only thing that stands between Terrance and a long, healthy life is money.

$2,400,000 is a lot. But it only takes:
- 250,000 people donating $10 OR
- 96,000 people donating $25 OR
- 48,000 people donating $50

If you can't give right now, we understand! But could you help Terrance out by sharing his story on social media?

*In case Team Terrance’s goal is not reached: Some funds will be re-designated for Terrance’s palliative care. A foundation for the care of SMA positive Nepali children will be established with excess funds.
