Save Baby Monserrat: Urgent Medical Help Needed
Donation protected
Bringing a healthy baby into this world is always a miracle as there are a myriad of things that can go awry during gestation and childbirth. Nicole, my younger sister envisioned her baby girl Monserrat the moment she laid eyes on some pink leather mary jane baby shoes. My little sister awaits the arrival of her baby girl Monserrat, a baby girl we all became enamored with. To our dismay, we found out baby Monserrat's diaphragm did not fully form, which has made her organs move from her abdomen to her chest. This condition is called CDH or Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. If the baby is born in Dominican Republic her chances of survival are less than 6% the structure of the healthcare system can't guarantee the survival of Monserrat despite all their efforts. Her chances of survival in a hospital in Spain are much higher as there are doctors who have operated on cases like Monserrat. However, the cost to save Monserrat's life comes with a $230,000 price tag to be paid prior to any arrangements made. My sister needs a visa to travel to Spain expeditiously as she is in her last trimester. Monserrat has come into our lives to elucidate not only the vast inequalities in health care but also collective strength The outpouring support we have received has spoken volumes of humanity. My sister Nicole has demonstrated incredible strength and courage during this arduous process; however we can't do this without you all. Please help my sister have the opportunity to put on Monserrat's shoes to wear OUT of the hospital.
