Hi, my name is Cypress de Guzman, and I am creating this GoFundMe account for my sister’s daughter, Ayezsha Caellie De Guzman-Sapiandante (my niece), who is currently in the Philippines. My niece was born on August 14, 2024, with a congenital heart defect (single ventricle). At birth, she was immediately admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and was confined there for a month. The hospital bills were high, but we managed to cover them at the time using our savings.

Unfortunately, shortly after my niece was discharged, our mommy was also hospitalized. Despite our efforts, she passed away, leaving us with another set of significant hospital bills. We were able to get through that challenging time with the support of our family, friends, relatives, and the NRYS family.

Now, we are facing another heartbreaking challenge. My niece is currently confined again in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of MCU Hospital in Caloocan, Philippines. As of November 19, 2024, her hospital bills have reached $10,000, and they continue to increase daily. The doctors have advised my sister and her husband to transfer their daughter to the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City, Philippines, for her first surgery. This requires a down payment of $8,000, and the total cost is estimated to be around $60,000. Following this, another surgery will be necessary, with similar expenses.
