Story

AV and AVK have been providing a home and creative outlet to our community for over 10 years. From all arts showcases to after school acting classes our goal has always been to enrich our community through art. We are called home by artists, children, and families from all over our city.Recently our space came under new ownership. They have unexpectedly notified us that we are to vacate our home of 8 years with no desire to negotiate. We have been given 30 days to vacate. We are hoping to turn something negative into a positive by moving to a space that would allow us to grow into a bigger and better force of artistic nature. It is an extremely daunting and expensive venture to pick up and move to a new space without disturbing the programs we currently have in place. We are now asking you, the community we pride ourselves in, to help us with this enormous undertaking and not allow a company to close the doors on another artistic space. The funds we are in need of would cover: Legal feesCertification and licensing of the new venue, your new home.InspectionsVenue setupTransfer of all utilitiesNecessary venue modificationsand all the small ins and outs that made our space more than a warehouse but a home. Thank you for your support over the years and we hope that you can assist us in making sure that we do not get swallowed by corporate greed but rather, rise into new beginning.
