This is Autumn. She is my elderly parents’ dog and needs EMERGENCY SURGERY for Pyometra, a severe life threatening uterus infection. We recently, suffered a huge unfortunate event and my parents’ head of household was removed from their home. Leaving them little to no financial support. We, remaining children and family, have absorbed all their financial obligations on top of providing for our own families. With the current hardship we are not able to afford this surgery for her ourselves. We have applied for financial assistance and are unsuccessful. Pending a grant from RedRover but that can take days if we are even eligible. We have even reached out to some rescues even offering surrender and they are not able to help either. We are desperate.

Autumn is 2.5. i fostered Autumn for 4 months and fell in love with the French bulldog breed. She has always been full of life and so sweet and loves cuddles she keeps my disabled dad company when he’s at home and she loves to go on walks and car rides with everyone.

the last few days she has been under the weather, not eating or playing. today she woke with heavy discharge and up unable to walk or stand on her own.

We took her into the Upland Animal hospital. After bloodwork, cray and urinalysis they diagnosed her with Pyometra. A uterine infection causing the uterus to fill with pus. She has a fever and a lot of internal inflammation her platelets and white blood cell count are low And needs surgery ASAP. We called around everywhere for different quotes but Upland is the most affordable. The doctor was iffy about doing the surgery as there are many risks since she is so ill and possibly to bleed out. But he said he is willing to try everything he can.

As of 2:14pm, today Weds, they are prepping her for surgery. They do not have 24 hour supervision so she will be alone from 6pm-8am. There’s a possibility she may have to get transferred to an speciality emergency center if complications arise. We are so worried but this was the most affordable option we could get. We are truly hoping and praying for the best. We need our girl here with us.
