Our family pet Arfur ate a silicone lick mat. We thought he was okay and that it passed through him, but then he started showing severe pain. So, we brought him to the vet and found out that he has a big piece of silicone stuck in his stomach and some in his large intestine. The vet is keeping him overnight and giving him an IV and medicine that makes his digestion move quicker. There is a big chance this fails and he will need surgery. We live in a small trailer and cannot afford this right now. We really do not want to put him down, but if we cannot find the funds for his surgery, we will have no option.
