Save Aramaic language & minority in Israel
Donation protected
This fundraiser campaign is aiming to save the Aramaic language and our minority in Galilee Israel.
This Native Christian Aramaic minority in Israel is facing enormous pressure in a region of conflict. ICAA - Israeli Christian Aramaic NGO was founded by Mr. Shadi Khaloul when finished his studies in the USA. According to the United Nations, the Aramaic language is facing the danger of annihilation if no efforts are executed to preserve and revitalize it. This was as well Jesus Christ's language and the language of the Jewish people 2000 years ago. If it dies, then the people and the culture will not exist. The world will lose a unique treasure. This community in Israel could be an agent of hope in a region of conflict.
Our ICAA NGO is leading these efforts in a Christian positive engagement model which could be copied by others once successful. we advocate for our minority equal rights peacefully and are succeeding to accomplish our goals including building a better future for our youth with the state of Israel despite all difficulties and obstacles.
This is the 12 year of the Aramaic summer camp. We are building a new generation of youth who can lead their community toward coexistence within Israel while still being able to testify for their Aramaic identity, language and their ancient Christian faith.
Hopefully, this Aramaic program will provide resilience and a better future for the Aramaic language, community and faith.
