Save Aram from Brain Cancer, 12 years old child

This fundraiser campaign is aiming to save our child, Aram, from his rare brain Cancer and provide him the needed drugs through to the next year - 2023.

Aram is a 12 year old child from the Galilee in Israel. When his health allows for it, Aram enjoys spending time learning the process of programing computer games, playing piano, and swimming. He has a very special and deep bond with his furry friend Bon-Bon. He was born into a mixed Christian Aramaic and Jewish family. His father graduated from UNLV, and is a native Galilean Christian, his mother is Jewish, and from Ukraine. Aram is the oldest child in the family. He was first diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multi Form grade 4 Brain Cancer in Aug 2020 when he was 10 years old. He had three surgeries, Radiotherapy, and chemotherapy in Israel.

Aram’s tumor has advanced lately. 3 months ago he developed pareses in his two legs and arms due to tumor leptomeningeal which spread to his spine. He needs a wheelchair. He has also undergone a tracheostomy operation due to breathing and swallowing complications.

An initial fundraiser covered oncolytic viral medical treatment in Germany. It was extremely beneficial to learn how the treatment affected Aram's conditions.

Unfortunately, the Brain Tumor has relapsed with multiple locations which spread along the spine and the skull. Aram finished his second round of radiation in the end of January 2022 to control the spread. Last May 2022, he finished experimental medical treatment for this unique rare brain tumor at Duke North Carolina without success and it was very costly. Doctors at Duke offered to start immediately chemotherapy which was terminated after one and Half dose because of neurological deterioration and tumor progression.

Now it has been recommended to start new biological drugs that might bring hope to cure Aram. One drug (ONC206) is being bought every Month for the last two months privately by Aram's parents from Germany out of pocket. The cost of this drug is $3826/monthly. This drug is expected to work beginning from at least 3 months after the start of treatment.

Another new experimental drug is recommended now by his oncologist and will be added to the treatment, which will increase the cost by $6,250/monthly.

In the medical literature, there are only two other known similar cases, however Aram is the 1st in the world to undergo this specific treatment plan. Curing Aram with this rare type of HGNE Brain cancer of Bcore EP300 fusion (GBM grade 4) with a new type of treatment which has never been administered before will be ground breaking, and the first known case of it's type worldwide. Hopefully this treatment will provide a life saving cure and relief for Aram, as well as other patients in the future.
