In my time working with horses, I have gotten the luxury of working with many intelligent, willing, and kind horses. Above all of these verbs would be Apache, whome I've grown to learn to appreciate as more of a companion than just a horse. Since starting the lesson business, Apache has taken on a large portion of my lessons, never blinking an eye or saying no to making someone happy. I have grown to appreciate Apache as a vital part of J.Pierno Equine, and every rider in my barn owes it to him for having taught them the gift of not only riding, but horsemanship. As a new business owner, i will gladly admit without Apaches quiet nature and confidence, I would not be the person I am today.
In recent months, Apache has developed a tumor over his eyelid. Despite constant attention, and numerous amounts of medication, it is inevitable that Apache will need surgery from Cornell Ruffian Equine Hospital. While funds are being put together for Apache, anyone in the equine industry can tell you that horses aren't cheap, which means this surgery we are inevitably faced with is a huge financial undertaking. We ask that the community come together to help this earth bound angel in his time of need. If you are in my barn, or take lessons with me, chances are you've ridden Apache, and owe your knowledge of horses to him. Now is the time to help repay him, by helping fund his surgery coming in November. Thank you all for your time, patience, and support; we all appreciate yo
