6/26/25. Good morning all! Great news! Angus made it through the VERY long surgery. I could t see him after because the recovery (waking up part). Is equally as long and he is in sterile environment (think ICU ). But they tell me he was the perfect candidate. Despite his bladder being drained 4 times manually (thank you Dr Ortiz @VEG anaheim Hills and Dr D @Yorba Linda Veterinary group) his kidneys nor bladder were damaged. There were so many stones in his urethra that when she tried to initially put in the catheter she kept hitting the stones. So the surgical tech had to manually get those out of the way just to start (in my mind I pictured those malt ball things back from my childhood that came in a sleeve and you would just pop them out one by one.). I am meeting with the team this am and we should have a better idea of how long and what care he will need going forward. But most important is that he made it. Most don’t. Most are in far greater shape when they get here. She was able to remove EVERY Single stone. I am beyond grateful to the team @UC Davis and YOU! I still have a balance and am optimistic that we will reach that goal. Please keep sharing. I am indebted to you all!!! Pic of stones taken from urethra alone)

Update:****** PLEASE. Keep the momentum going. If every person who sees this can just donate $5 (think 1 cup of coffee at Starbucks). We would be there and I can start the 6 hour drive to get him the surgery needed to save his life. If I wait much longer he will not be able to make the drive. PLEASE

Update. ***. Due to private donations the need has changed drastically. He is doing a bit better. I may be driving to U.C Davis tonight so need a much smaller amount.

Hi. I'm desperate to save this guy. Most of you know, this is Angus. He is a silky-haired fainting goat. I adopted him from a rescue a few short months ago to be a companion to my Nubian girl, whom we lost to old age at the end of last year. Angus also lost his life mate to cancer. Being that goats do not do well alone, it was a perfect match. He is the sweetest, best-behaved goat in history. I've been around a lot of goats, and he is truly the best. He has stones currently semi-blocking his urethra, meaning he cannot pee properly and is not getting enough volume out. He was in grave danger yesterday, and with the help of my son, we were able to get him to the wonderful folks at VEG pet hospital in Anaheim Hills. We were able to get x-rays and ultrasounds and even had a small procedure done that exposed 4 stones and gave us a little hope with an opening to allow urine to trickle out. I was thrilled; the vet, not so much. His body is making more urine than is expelling it, so they have drained him a few times, all with much success. I have him home now but am told that he has till the end of today. It's either euthanasia or surgery. There are a few options for surgical intervention, and I have all estimates. I have paid his bills up to this point, but with 10k needed TODAY, I'm willing to sell my soul for this guy. I have already exhausted my care credit card and my personal savings. Any amount of any sort would help. If I cannot raise enough for the surgery, I will refund every penny. I just want to save his life. He would be a great hospital goat for children or even nursing homes; he's that gentle and kind. He has long, beautiful hair and brings joy to all who see him. PLEASE HELP!!! I am shopping around for the lowest cost surgery. I have and will provide receipts to anyone who wants. Also, for a tax deduction, I am working with a rescue group, and you can send to them and just allocate for "Angus." NO amount is too small. Everything counts! I have never asked for anything; I am always the first to donate, and I wouldn't be asking now if I had any other way.
