My name is Keiko Acri, and I have owned Petals Makeup and Skincare for over ten years. I am starting this GoFundMe for a few reasons. First, I would like to change my business to incorporate healing. I have lost my son and daughter this year, and it has completely changed how I view my life and my work. After losing two children so suddenly, I have realized that life is very short. I had wanted to change the mission of my business from beauty to health and well-being for a few years. Now, I realize it is time.

Second, I would like to change the name of my business in my daughter’s honor. She passed very quickly from ovarian cancer. She always wanted to start a business with a name that she had for years. I want to honor her by changing to that name.

And finally, I am struggling financially. Not only from taking time off from grief, but also from the time I took off to care for my daughter before she passed and being with my son when he passed. It all happened too quickly!

My focus has always been to help people look and feel good. To me, skincare is more than just creams and makeup. I have done a lot for my clients, and I want to keep that up. And, I want to incorporate healing as well. My daughter suffered a lot during her process. Her doctors did not want to incorporate any naturopathic therapies. They were just giving her chemotherapy and lots and lots of opioids. So, she was either in extreme pain or drugged up. She only lived a year after she was diagnosed. I believe she did not have to suffer as much as she did.

Things are just not looking good for me at the moment, and I need something good.

I specialize in taking care of people. I want to be able to take the time to really focus on people who need the care I can give them. I do not want to lose my business or my purpose. I would appreciate any help I can get to continue with my goal.
