Save an Artist's Creations: Fund a Gallery
Donation protected
I am an artist with more art than I can contain. I'd like to open a gallery of my own. I have currently been looking for employment for about 9 months to no avail.
I'm running out of ability to remain even in my modest home and am at risk of losing everything I have worked hard to create in my lifetime as a result.
I hate asking for help, and I cannot afford to go much longer without some sort of something. I'm told frequently I need to sell my art, but I create more than I can physically and mentally list on the internet. I can't afford to advertise even if I did, which, in my experience, keeps anyone from seeing anything you have. I also suck at pricing things and describing them, and need assistance to do that properly.
I really am not looking for handouts, but I'm quite out of options that are accomplishable on my own. I've estimated with $5k I could reasonably hire at least short-term help and open a physical gallery for my work.
This is a last straw draw for me, putting my value and needs in the hands of others and legitimately the hardest thing I have ever done. This is also my only Christmas wish.
Funds will be used to secure a location and to open doors and hire a person to help me move things and for initial local advertising.
