My name is Antonella Re. I’m a volunteer at Miami-Dade Animal Services, and together with a group of dedicated volunteers, we’re raising funds to send four little sisters to a sanctuary—one that is willing to give them a second chance at life.

These four dogs were part of a cruelty confiscation case that began last October. They were found living in deplorable conditions—without food, water, or shelter. They were unsocialized and deprived of even the most basic needs.

One day, while they were still "living" there, they ran out from the unfenced yard and barked at two man walking by. In response, the people began swatting and kicking at them, which led the dogs to bite. The victims sustained lacerations and bruises.

The dogs were confiscated and brought to MDAS. Since then, caring staff and volunteers have worked to help these fearful dogs come out of their shells. We've come to know their shy but beautiful personalities. They’ve shown us that they are truly loving and social—friendly with people and dogs alike, sweet and gentle. They’ve been nothing but perfect angels during their time at the shelter, and everyone who gets to know them falls instantly in love with them.

Now, the civil case has ended, and they are legally county property. But due to that past incident, they’ve been labeled “Dangerous Dogs” and are scheduled for euthanasia.

We’ve been fighting for their lives—networking them, gathering petition signatures, and contacting the Mayor and MDAS leadership nonstop—but we haven’t received any positive outcomes. The only option left to save them is placement in a sanctuary.

The only sanctuary willing to accept them—despite their designation—needs the support to cover several costs immediately:

Yearly tag fee per dog: $125

Lifetime tag fee per dog: $500

Plus medical care, food, and general living expenses

We are determined to support this sanctuary and give these girls the future they deserve. But we need your help.
