Chaque minute, environ 50 acres de forêt vont disparaitre pour toujours et vous mettre en péril l’habit de ces espèces.

La forêt amazonienne brûle depuis 4 semaines et malheureusement personne n’a rien pu faire pour l’empêcher.

Lundi dernier, la population de Sao Paulo au Brésil a été surprise de voir la ville tomber dans le noir à 3 heures de l’après-midi, à cause de la dense fumée occasionnée par les feux provenant du Nord. Ceci nous a fait comprendre une chose : il n‘est pas important si nous sommes originaire du Sud ou du Nord. Peu importe, si vous vivez sur les rives du fleuve ou vous travaillez comme un cadre dans la ville. Le démantèlement des politiques environnementales va TOUS nous affecter. Nous devons TOUS nous réunir afin de sauver des vies humaines, des espèces animales vivant en Amazonie qui sont en train de mourir chaque jour et nous devons planter de nouveaux arbres afin que nous enfants aient quelque chose à protéger dans le futur.


Pourquoi ceci est une grande catastrophe pour nous tous ?

La forêt amazonienne libère environ 20% de l’air que nous respirons and possède 20% de l’eau potable de notre planète. Elle agit comme un des plus grands puits de carbone, lequel protège une valeur de 100 années d’émission de carbone causées par les êtres humains. Cette forêt peut-être considérée comme le poumon de notre planète. L’Amazone est la maison de millions d’espèces et de populations indigènes qui ont vu leurs maisons détruites par les feux. Quelques espèces en danger sont : Black-faced Black Spider Monkey (EN), Giant Otter (EN), White-bellied Spider Monkey (EN). Perdre autant de la superficie de l’Amazonie à cause des feux de forêts ça devient très critique pour notre avenir et la stabilité de notre planète. La forêt amazonienne agit comme un système auto-durable qui malheureusement est en train d’être détruit jour après jour. Nous atteignons le point de bascule dans cette boucle d’auto-durabilité qui est en grand danger.


Plus de 60% de la superficie du Pérou est couverte par la forêt amazonienne. Ce projet de reboisement est localisé dans la région de Madre de Dios, qui est l’habitat de plus de 10% des espèces d’oiseaux du monde entier. Le but est de restaurer et protéger ‘la zone tampon’ entre la réserve nationale de Tambopata, le Parc National de Bahuaja-Sonene et la ville de Puerto Maldonado. Cette zone a été identifiée à haut risque par le déboisement et la dégradation provenant de pratiques agricoles non durables dans la région. Planter des arbres ici va aider à conserver l’habitat des jaguars and des centaines d’espèces vivant dans les zones protégées en fournissant également des moyens de subsistance durable aux populations locales.

Nous souhaitons récolter autant d’argent que possible afin de planter de nouveaux arbres en Amazonie et sauver les espèces innocentes vivant là-bas. Bien que nous ne puissions pas faire disparaitre les feux de forêts, il est de notre devoir de replanter en partie la forêt endommagée et aider avec tous nos moyens afin qu’elle puisse se régénérer de nouveau. C’est l’avenir de NOTRE planète, de NOS enfants et de NOUS TOUS.

 
Le projet de replanter des arbres va aider à protéger la biodiversité dans cette zone forestière de haute importance et de permettre la restauration de ces terrains dégradés. Nos partenaires vont travailler avec des fermiers locaux à Puerto Maldonado afin de créer un système agroforestier durable qui utilisera des plantations de cacao sous ombrage, des espèces d’arbres indigènes et des espèces de bois exploitables. Une coopérative agricole va être crée au sein de cette communauté, en leur fournissant une assistance technique et de l’éducation à tous les participants dans ce modèle agroforestier durable.

Comment nous plantons ces nouveaux arbres?


Après avoir discuté avec plusieurs organisations, nous avons décidé de faire des dons auprès de l’organisation à but non lucratif appelée OneTreePlanted.

OneTreePlanted a pour but de son activité de replanter des arbres dans le monde entier.

Une fois que nous avons fait des dons à OneTreePlanted, ils vont utiliser chaque franc afin de replanter des arbres dans la forêt amazonienne.


Comment nous sommes en train de porter secours aux animaux en danger?



AVEC L’AIDE DE MERAZONIA (l’organisation qui aide à secourir les animaux en danger), nous sommes en mesure de sauver les animaux en danger ! Ils vont prendre soin d’eux en les nourrisant, de leur réhabilitation et de s’assurer que ces animaux sont en SECURITE !

Every minute, almost 50 acres of rainforest are lost forever and critically endangered species lose their habitat.

The Amazon Rainforest has been burning for 4 weeks and no one is doing anything against it. 

Last Monday afternoon, the population of São Paulo was surprised to see the city going dark at 3pm from the heavy smoke billowing from the fires in the North. And that made us understand one thing: it doesn't matter if we're northerners or southerners. Whether you are living on the banks of the river or an executive working in the city. The dismantling of environmental policies will affect all of us. We must gather together to save people’s lives, save animal species living in the Amazon which are dying every day and plant new trees so our children can have something to protect in the future!


Why is this so bad?

The Amazon Rainforest makes up around 20% of the air we breathe and holds 20% of the freshwater flowing on the planet. It acts as one of the biggest carbon sinks which hold up to 100 years worth of carbon emissions caused by humans. Look at it as the lungs of our planet. Amazonia acts as well as a home to millions of species and native people who get their homes destroyed by the fires. Some of the endangered species are Black-faced Black Spider Monkey (EN), Giant Otter (EN), White-bellied Spider Monkey (EN). Losing so much of the Amazon rainforest due to fires is really critical for our future and the stability of the planet. The rainforest acts as a self-sustaining system that is getting destroyed step by step. We are reaching the tipping point of the self-sustaining loop where the rainforest self-sustainability is critically endangered.

…PLANT NEW TREES and SAVE ANIMAL SPECIES IN THE AMAZON!

We want to raise as much money as possible in order to plant new trees in the Amazonian region and save innocent species living there. While we can not put out the fires, it is up to us to replant part of the forest and help in every way we can for it to grow back. It is the future of OUR planet, OUR children and ALL OF US. More than 60% of Peru is covered by the Amazon rainforest. This reforestation project is located in the Madre de Dios region, home to over 10 percent of the world's bird species. The goal is to restore and protect the "buffer zone" between Tambopata National Reserve, Bahuaja-Sonene National Park, and the city of Puerto Maldonado. This area has been identified as a high-risk zone for deforestation and degradation due to unsustainable agricultural practices in the region. Planting trees here will help conserve habitat for the Jaguar and hundreds of other species living in the protected areas while providing sustainable livelihoods to local people. 


The tree-planting project will help protect the area’s biodiverse primary forests and restore degraded land. Our partners will work with local farmers in Puerto Maldonado to establish a sustainable agroforestry system using shade-grown cocoa, native tree species, and productive timber species. A farming cooperative will be established within the community, providing technical assistance and training for participants in the sustainable agroforestry model.

After talking to several organizations, we have decided to donate the money to a non-profit organization called OneTreePlanted. 

OneTreePlanted has been focusing on replanting trees all around the world.

Once we donate ALL the money to OneTreePlanted, they will use every single dollar to replant trees in the Amazon rainforest!



How are we rescuing endangered species and animals?

WITH THE HELP OF MERAZONIA, we will be able to save animals in danger! They will take care of feeding, rehabilitation and ensuring that the animals are SAFE!
