Save Alphonse: A Hero Dog's Surgery

My name is Paul. This is a cry for help for my best friend, Alphonse. He needs surgery and treatment for his condition. I cannot afford the vet bill. Alphonse has been a great dog who saved us from a fire. He barked and barked and barked to warn us of the impending danger of a fire getting close to our home. He had a tone that did not sound normal when he was warning us and because of him our home did not catch on fire. I was able to put out the fire that was inching towards our home on dry grass. This has been a weight on my shoulder. I have lost weight from the daily stress of worrying for my furry friend. I want to save him, especially for what he has done for us, his family. Hopefully, he can live many more years. He is a chocolate lab pit bull mix who was a rescue. Someone dumped him on my property I’m guessing because he was a runt of a litter with mange and super skinny. His mange went away after his treatment and he was a happy boy.

I was glad I took him in, got him treatment, and raised him into a wonderful best friend.

He is an amazing dog, and an even more amazing best friend. Please help Alphonse get the surgery needed for his possible condition of GDV.

Dr just gave his prognosis and it was not good. Apparently Alphonse has a tumor around his lung and will need a specialist and extensive care before he can get surgery.

Alphonse has been taking it easy. I am trying to find a good specialist for him. Hard part is that most of these Animal Hospitals want funding up front. All I can do for now is to provide him with Gabapentin 300mg for his pain and Carprofen 75mg for the swelling. Keeping Alphonse spirits high so he does not stress out.

Update: Donations are being used right now for his medications, food like chicken and rice as instructed by vet, and bed pads for his accidents. The rest will be saved for his vet visits when it is affordable.
