UPDATE we have all $ to reclaim Urgent Help Needed

Donation protected

  • There were a series of unfortunate events for
  • "Alfonzso Wiggliano" (Alphie). SHORT VERSION- seeking donations to pay fines/fees etc (by Tuesday) to Guilford County Animal Control to get dog back asap so they don't get "full authority to dispose of animal" via "adoption, fostering, or EUTHANASIA". VERY LITTLE TIME TO RECLAIM est $850; other vet services est $400 to neuter and parvo test/vaccine,; materials for coyote rollers for fence est $250 = $1500

  • Detailed information- a decorative/commemorative plate fell from a shelf and broke on Alphie's head, emergency vet cost was not possible, heroic volunteer vet tech efforts unsuccessful.
  • The night before the mire affordable reasonably priced vet appointment I made, Alphie jumped the fence (he's very large) and he nipped someone (never done before). Rabies vaccination was overdue, so Animal Control took him for mandated 10 day rabies observation- fee is $50 per night ($500), plus: $125 1st offense intact (means not neutered), $10 rabies shot, $15 microchip (maybe optional?), $200 intact Pet fine = $850. Was told they were not going to charge for medical treatment for head wound (paperwork says otherwise).
  • To reclaim dog all fees must be paid in full within "2 business days of the end of the observation period" and failure to do so "shall constitute a relinquishment" and give shelter "full authority to dispose of the animal" via " adoption, fostering, or EUTHANASIA".
  • Officer Knox said must keep him from jumping fence or he would be picked up again. Solution I think is "coyote rollers" which attach to top of existing fence. Kits you can buy online are about $2000. Found DIY instructions- think I can use bamboo poles I already have in place of pvc pipe, already have steel braided cable, hopefully can find something suitable for additional posts, if all that actually worked out, I would only need to purchase L brackets and other connections items est $250
  • Additional vet services est $400 to neuter and get parvo test....so I have goal at $1500, but maybe won't need that much, maybe will be more. Not sure.
  • I am desperately begging for any help to reach this goal in 2 days so we can get him back. I love Alphie so much and miss him and him sitting in my lap as best his big self can fit. I'm sure he's scared and lonely and confused and sad and feels abandoned and it breaks my heart. We weren't allowed to visit, dogs on observation are not walked-solitary confinement for 10 days.
  • Also per Leslie and her supervisor Heidi any donations/payments for Alphie (must specify Alphie) from anyone can be made directly to Guilford County Animal Control cash or card, in person (no phone payments).
  • Also a few kind, wonderful businesses let me put out donation boxes ...which raised little because some horrible person stole one. WHO TF STEALS FROM A DOG??? STEALS MONEY NEEDED TO PREVENT EUTHANASIA?
  • Your kindness and generosity is gratefully appreciated. Please contact me with any questions or comments.
