Hi my name is Abigail and I am the daughter of Janie and Justin Alfred. As long as I can remember, my parent's home has been a safe haven. Their home and hearts have always been open to anyone in need, be it just for one night or for a whole year. Today, we received some devastating news: the home that has been a shelter to so many is in major need of urgent repair. A leak was found behind the kitchen sink that has caused major flooding and the spread of black mold. The damage is so bad the whole kitchen needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the homeowner's insurance won't cover the cost which amounts to $30,000-$50,000. My mom and dad are pillars in the Christian community, giving of themselves completely unto the Lord, never asking for anything in return.
