Two weeks ago, a new kitty unexpectedly came into my life. After bonding right away with our cat Bruce, my fiancé and I decided to name him Alfred and make him part of the family.
While we first figured it was his anxiety of being in a new home, Alfred wasn’t eating. After over a week of not eating, I took him to the vet. He was diagnosed with a feline odontoclastic resorptive lesion, which is a very painful process where his body attacks his own tooth. He now needs a $1200 procedure to have the tooth removed.
Taking in Alfred and discovering the severity of his health issues came on very suddenly, and I would be extremely grateful for any help. I’ve fallen in love with him and it would break my heart for Bruce to lose his new friend.
