We adopted Albus in July from a shelter and instantly fell in love. His big, bat ears and sweet demeanor won us over in a heartbeat. Our poor boy was shot in the leg by his previous owner, and has suffered greatly in his three years on Earth.
I have been caring for him diligently, taking him to vets and specialists to get X-rays and opinions. For weeks, we were getting the opinion that his injured leg had to be amputated. I am happy to report that now, a orthopedic specialist has laid out a great plan that includes surgery to remove a large piece of the bullet fragment, and gradually extend his leg to grow and match the length of his other leg.
Although we haven't had Albus long, he is already part of the family. He has became fast friends with our pitbull, Nala, and our cat, Teeney. It would mean so much to us to be able to get him the surgery he needs so he can run and play without pain. Please donate if you can <3
