My name is Fightress Aaron, MBA, MS, LPC, NCC — a homeschooling mom, licensed professional counselor, and founder of Wellness Oasis Pike Road (WOPR).
WOPR is Alabama’s only wellness-focused coworking office — and the first Black woman-owned space of its kind. Located in Pike Road/East Montgomery, WOPR was created to be more than just offices. It is a sanctuary where small businesses, mothers, students, and therapists can focus, connect, and thrive.
This space was built with faith, patience, and sacrifice — not just for me, but for our community.
Now, I’m inviting you to partner with me in keeping these doors open wider: by funding free coworking hours for those who need them most as they support the mental health needs of our community by seeing patients in person in our offices, giving mothers a space to reflect and work on their goals, and for small businesses that don’t have the capital or revenue to afford private office space.
Our Vision
WOPR is Pike Road and East Montgomery’s first and only wellness coworking office — and Alabama’s first Black woman-owned wellness-focused coworking office.
This space was created so that:
• Small businesses have a professional place to grow.
• Mothers balancing family and entrepreneurship through our Mamas Matter Initiative have a quiet place to focus.
• Students and homeschooling families can access a safe environment to study and create.
• Therapists and wellness professionals have flexible, affordable offices to serve their clients in person.
This campaign isn’t just about keeping WOPR open — it’s about expanding access so more people in our community can walk through our doors.
Our Community Impact So Far
WOPR has:
• Donated 1,000+ coworking hours to small businesses, students and educators and local mothers through our Mamas Matter Initiative.
• Supported 20+ Pike Road and Montgomery-area businesses and contracts with local members of the community to support our vision and operations.
• Hosted teacher supply drives and Meet the Therapist events to connect the community with resources.
We’ve proven what’s possible. Now, with your support, we can do even more.
The Campaign Goal
We’re raising $12,000 to sustain WOPR through February 2026 and fund 1,200+ hours of free coworking space for small business owners, mothers, students, and therapists who need it most.
Every donation puts hours of access directly into the hands of our community.
Your Impact
Every $25 donated = 1 coworking hour gifted.
• $50 = A day of coworking for a student or entrepreneur.
• $100 = A full week of access for a small business owner.
• $250 = A month of office space for a therapist to see clients in person.
• $500 = 2 months of flexible coworking for a mother balancing family and business.
• $3,125 = 1 month of WOPR’s expenses covered + 100 free coworking hours gifted back to the community.
Our Story, Told Through Built by Stories
To launch this campaign, I’m honored to be featured in Danielle Wallace’s Built by Stories series with Chayil Media Publishing.
In this feature, Danielle captures WOPR’s journey — from walking the construction grounds with Austin Decker of Watermark Builders, to furnishing each office with intention, to creating a sanctuary where people leave not just productive, but whole.
Watch the feature above, then join us in keeping these doors open for those who need them most.
