Emergency Surgery Needed to Save Akima

Hi, my name is Carlissa, and I’m reaching out with all the love and hope I have left. My sweet girl, Akima, is fighting for her life right now.

For the past few days, Akima has been sick — throwing up and she stopped eating, grew weak, and was in so much pain. After multiple vet visits, blood work, X-rays, and an ultrasound, she had a barium study today. The results confirmed what I feared: Akima has an intestinal blockage. She has swallowed something and you can see it in the xray bulging in the middle of her intestines.

The only way to save her is emergency surgery. Without it, she won’t make it.

I have already used everything I had on tests and vet visits. I applied for CareCredit and other payment plans, but was denied. Now I’m out of options — except asking for help from kind-hearted people who might understand how much Akima means to me and my family.
