Help Small Business in Israel Survive the War with Iran
Who We Are
Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read our story.
My name is Talya and I’m an American Expat currently here on behalf of my boyfriend’s small escape room business in Israel — a place that has become very close to my heart, and to many people who’ve walked through its doors.
To be completely honest, I wasn’t a big fan of escape rooms when we first met. I didn’t understand why people would pay to get locked in a room and solve puzzles. But then he brought me into his world — and I discovered it’s so much more than just a game. For all who dont know what an escape room is, here is a short descriptive video from a wonderful company in Texas.
This is a place where families bond, friends laugh together, couples reconnect, and children light up with wonder. He and his team built Action Game Escape Room to be an adventure like no other — filled with movie-level sets, hidden secrets, and stories that come to life. It would simply break my heart if he had to close his doors because of this conflict.
Award-Winning Quality
This isn’t just any escape room.
Action Game Escape Room has been proudly ranked in the Top 100 Escape Rooms Worldwide in TERPECA 2 years ago, and our famous Robin Hood room is known by enthusiasts everywhere for its immersive design and challenging puzzles.
People travel from all over Israel — and even tourists from abroad — to experience the magic he and his small team create.
This dream wasn’t easy to build, and it has survived things many businesses could not:
The COVID pandemic
Two major wars in our region
Countless economic challenges
Yet here we are again — facing the hardest test yet.
The War Changed Everything
When the recent war with Iran escalated, everything changed overnight.
Families are staying indoors, events are cancelled, people are trying to cope with daily fear and uncertainty. While we had hoped things would start to calm down, reality proved otherwise.
Just recently, attacks hit a hospital in Be’er Sheva and the main treating center in Ramat Gan. This painful news reminded all of us that we have no idea how long this situation will last.
While our country is doing everything to protect its people, small businesses like ours are left with empty rooms and no clear end in sight.
The Harsh Numbers
Running an escape room of this level isn’t cheap.
Behind the magic, there are real bills:
✅ Rent for the location
✅ Utilities for high-tech effects, lighting, air conditioning
✅ Salaries for our small but talented team — who are like family
✅ Maintenance to keep every puzzle and set piece working perfectly
✅ Loan payments from building and upgrading the rooms
It costs a minimum of $25,000 every month just to stay alive — even with zero players.
With no steady income, the gap grows every day.
We need at least $50,000 to cover basic costs and make sure this business survives the next two months — so that when the skies clear, the doors can open again immediately and continue bringing joy to families and tourists alike.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just about saving an escape room. It’s about saving a passion project, a dream, and a safe, joyful space that has given people laughter and unforgettable memories for years.
It’s about protecting local jobs for talented young people who love what they do — designing puzzles, hosting players, and keeping the adventure alive.
It’s about showing that even in dark times, people can come together and keep the spark of hope alive for small businesses.
What Your Support Will Do
Your donation will:
✔️ Pay rent and utilities so the rooms don’t get dismantled.
✔️ Cover salaries for our small team who depend on this income.
✔️ Keep our puzzles and props maintained and safe.
✔️ Make sure we have everything ready to reopen the second it’s safe.
Most importantly — it will keep a piece of our local culture alive, ready to welcome back families, kids, and travelers when the time comes.
A Personal Promise
I know there are so many causes needing help right now.
But if you believe in supporting small businesses and good people who pour their hearts into their work — this is a way to make a direct difference for real people in Israel.
My boyfriend is the hardest working, most creative person I know. He puts his entire soul into every story and every prop in his rooms. He never gave up through COVID, never gave up during past conflicts — and he doesn’t want to give up now.
But he can’t do it alone this time.
How You Can Help
✅ Donate whatever you can — big or small — it ALL helps.
✅ Share this page with friends, family, and anyone who cares about Israel and small businesses.
✅ Leave a kind comment — encouragement means so much right now.
Even $5 or $10 makes a difference. If every player who ever enjoyed our rooms gave just a little, we would easily reach this goal and more.
Our Thank You To You
As a small thank you, every donor will receive a special discount or free game pass for when peace returns and we can welcome you back to the adventure.
When that day comes — and it will come — we promise to give you the most magical escape room experience you’ve ever had.
✨ Final Words
From the bottom of my heart: thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us during this difficult time.
You are helping more than just a business — you are helping keep dreams, jobs, and creativity alive in Israel.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
