Meet Abu, a 7-month-old Newfoundland puppy who had to go into emergency abdominal surgery this morning. Abu was your typical energetic puppy who stole the heart of everyone he met.
This morning, Abu was not acting his fun, menacing self. We noticed Abu kept vomiting and was not eating or drinking water. Naturally, we had to rush Abu to the emergency vet.
After diagnostic imaging, we received the horrible news that Abu Bear has a mechanical obstruction in his intestine. A mechanical obstruction is a blockage preventing the movement of food.
Although we would do anything to save his life, the upfront costs have been climbing, and we are reaching out to our animal-loving community to save his life as it has climbed to around $13,000 and it is climbing depending on how well he responds after surgery. All funds will be going towards Abu’s medical costs.
