Min Fründ de Tony betriebt zeme mit sim jüngere Brüeder sit 15 Jahr im Herze vo Beirut sini Bar „Abbey Road“. Die Bar isch für ihn und sini Familie ihri Hauptinahmequelle. Ufgrund vode Lag sind Bars momentan natürlich leer und mer weiss eimal meh nöd wie lang das die situation so bliebt.

Au wenn kei lüüt id bar chömed, müend köste für mieti, strom, unterhalt und natürlich Löhn nach wie vor deckt werde.

As many of you may know, on the 2nd of March war broke out again in Lebanon—for the second time in just two years. And as always, it is the people living there who are suffering the most.

My boyfriend Tony has been running his bar “Abbey Road” in the heart of Beirut together with his younger brother for the past 15 years. This place is not just a bar—it’s their livelihood, their passion, and the main source of income for their entire family.

Right now, because of the situation, the bar is empty. And once again, there is so much uncertainty about how long this will last.

Even without customers, the costs don’t stop—rent, electricity, maintenance, and especially salaries still need to be paid.
