Hey everyone! I’m Ames, I’m a 25 year old Turkish trans woman living in Germany. I recently lost my job due to layoffs and don’t have financial support from my family, which has left me in a difficult spot.

After the layoffs I’ve started job hunting. Since the start of 2026 I’ve gotten back 40 rejections, had 20 go unanswered, and I have 3 interviews scheduled next week. I’m trying, but even if I get hired soon, I won’t receive income in time to cover March’s bills.

My landlord is strict, and I need to pay rent at the start of the month to avoid losing my housing. Among that I need to still cover food, phone, utilities etc. I've already sold off many luxuries, and used my savings.

Being in Germany means I get to live as a trans woman. If I were to become homeless, I would have to return to Turkey, which would be great danger to myself physically and psychologically.

If any kind souls are moved to help, I would greatly appreciate it.
