Save a shelter dog from agony and death

Dogs don’t ask for help.
They suffer in silence.
It is your choice to look away. Or not.
Hi! I'm Ashishwangh. And I've decided not to look away.
Since the past few years, I have been actively involved in dog rescue. In Santiago, Chile, I have roamed the streets to rescue street dogs, feed them, provide treatment, ferry them from the street to the clinic, or to the foster home. And often I've managed adoptions.
Today I live in Istanbul. And without a doubt, I have gotten involved with the local shelter.
My journey so far
Ever since I joined the shelter in january - and have fallen in love with the 150 dogs - I've been doing the best I can to be useful. I started off by creating a Facebook page "Wagging Tails of Hope Dog Rescue Turkey" to bring about awareness: we exist and we have a 150 dogs here in the shelter! Then I took Bariş for parvo virus treatment and am currently fostering him. Next was Eyüp Sultan. I financed his sterilisation. Bayram had bad tooth cavities due to which he suffered a painful infection. I took him for tooth extraction. Now Marmara has had an opportunity to get adopted in France - I am standing the bills for all the medicals and paperwork. Not to mention the deworming treatments for countless pups. And scabies... well, check the Facebook page to see for yourself.
Why I need your help
Today I stand in dire straits. Merve, as I call this cane corso, is in bad shape. Her body is covered with bleeding tumors. See the photos, unbearable to see. At first appearance, you'd think, cancer. Too late. Put her down!
But it seems that it could be something else and not cancer. That means she can be treated. It also means more tests. And more finance.
I spoke of Merve to my friend Miguel Angel Blasco in Spain. My bunch of VeggieRunner friends of Zaragoza have a big heart, I knew it. They responded immediately and pooled in to contribute towards the initial tests, hemogram, leishmania test and palliative care. They sent love my way.
Dr. Enes of Pekpet clinic did not charge me for the X-rays. I consider it as the vet's contribution towards Merve's illness...
Hey! goodness spreading like ripples, I'd say. It gave me hope. I understood that probably Merve would survive if I made the effort of asking for help. It is never easy knocking at doors and stretching your arm. But for Merve's sake I will. I can’t consider the euthanasia option, just because of lack of funds...
So here I go!
If my work with street dogs in Santiago of Chile inspired you, I'm asking for your backing now. If my involvement with the shelter dogs in Istanbul has inspired you, I'm asking for your support now.
Don’t underestimate your contribution towards Merve's cause. Every individual makes a difference.
Don’t forget. Every contribution however small makes a difference.
Please stand by me.
Whatever you do will be insignificant. But it is very important that you do it - Gandhi
P.S. I will be regularly updating here and wish I spread good news soon.
In case of crowdfunding, I always share the vet bills. It shall be so.
