This is Spike the Cat when I adopted her in 2013 at Christmas ~ the generous donations we've received from complete strangers is heart warming. I'm an indie author & artist ~ Like so many others I am struggling to remain housed. I've always worked hard to provide for myself but I am now in need of the same help as so many other seniors in America.
I was informed by the County this week that no new Section 8 funds would be issued to those on the wait list for the next several years! This year I was eligible for those funds to cover my rent.
I am an artist & rookie children's book author who has always worked two jobs to successfully support myself .
