This is Spike the Cat when I adopted her in 2013 at Christmas ~ the generous donations we've received from complete strangers is heart warming. I'm an indie author & artist ~ Like so many others I am struggling to remain housed ~ funding for my rental assistance was suddenly cut without explanation earlier this year! I've always worked hard to provide for myself but I am now in need of the same help as so many other seniors in America.
I was informed by the corporate landlord based in Texas that I need to raise $12K ~ to cover back rent & remain inside my low income "Seniors" studio apartment with my crazy cat Spike. This amount will insure we remain safely housed.
I am an artist & rookie children's book author who has always worked two jobs to successfully support myself .
