Help an oppressed muslim sister start a new life

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

"Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve."

This dear 18 year old revert sister is in urgent need of our help. She is facing oppression in her home, both physical, mental and financial abuse. The sister is currently missing after attempting to flee her family home and there is an active investigation underway to locate her.

This GoFundMe was created by her classmates to help her start a new life in Egypt, where she has been accepted into an institute to pursue Islamic studies. The sister does not have family to support her, so this duty has fallen to her friends.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever relieves his brother of hardship, Allah will relieve him of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection; and whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection."

• Immediate escape from her current living situation (including any legal and medical fees that come with it)

• Safe accommodation and essentials while preparing for departure

• Travel expenses to Egypt

• Basic necessities for her transition
