Hello, for many reasons including a childhood spent witnessing domestic violence, my lovely, warm and gentle son has become addicted to alcohol. He has been on the edges of life and death several times and hasn't truly been able to start his life. Crippling anxiety and depression have ruled his life and self medicating with alcohol has become his coping mechanism.

Things came to a head recently and we almost lost him. We scraped money together to get him into a rehabilitation clinic. This costs £550 per day. He really needs to stay for a month to fully benefit from all the therapies they can offer. We are trying to raise enough money for a further 10 days.

He has so much to offer this world and anyone who meets him will feel his warmth, humour and generosity.

He needs a chance to begin his life, at the age of 29.
