Save my kittens eyesight

Mishka is a lovely 6-month-old kitten from Surrey. Anyone who has met him knows how sweet and affectionate he is! He would follow and cuddle into anyone’s arms!

In April, we first noticed a cloudiness in his right eye. After different vet appointments at different clinics, no one found the cause for this. It took 3 long months before an ophthalmologist finally gave us an answer…

Unfortunately, Mishka has been diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes, resulting in the complete loss of his sight. This news left us heartbroken.

Sadly, the only solution for Mishka would be to undergo surgery. This alone would cost £5.7k, plus £150 each post-op appointment and monthly healing eye drops.

I love this cat with my whole heart. I will always do my best to provide Mishka with good care and a great quality of life. However, as a university student with a low income, it will be very difficult for me to raise the funds for his surgery on time.

I will do my best to cover as much as I can, but if you could help me save my kitten’s eyesight, I will be forever grateful. We roughly estimate that the total cost would be £7k, minus £3k covered by insurance.
