Save a Horse who has Helped Save so Many Others

Hello, compassionate souls and horse lovers! We're reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for our beloved four-legged friend, Jackie. You might remember hearing about her incredible journey from a dark and uncertain fate in a kill pen to becoming a beacon of hope in our mental health programs at Equi Evolution.

Jackie's story is one of resilience, second chances, and the transformative power of love. Once destined for a tragic end, she was rescued from the brink of despair and given a new lease on life. Through careful rehabilitation and unwavering dedication, she blossomed into an integral part of our team, providing comfort, solace, and unconditional support to those who needed it the most.

However, today we find ourselves facing a difficult and urgent situation. Our dear Jackie has been seriously injured, and her well-being is in jeopardy. She has brought so much light into the lives of countless individuals, and now she needs our help to overcome this obstacle.

Early Monday morning she was found down in her stall with a large wound to her hind leg. We do not know exactly how the accident occurred but believe she caught herself on a tree or fence post. She has a fractured splint bone and we are waiting on radiograph results to determine if there is damage to her cannon bone as well. Surgery is imminent, we just don't know the total extent of what that will entail at this moment.

She is receiving excellent care at Tufts Equine Hospital and we are hopeful she will make a stable recovery. Unfortunately, the medical expenses required for Jackie's treatment are substantial and extend beyond what our program can currently cover. We're launching this GoFundMe campaign to rally the community and all those who have been touched by Jackie's story. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on her recovery journey.
