Hello friends. ♥

As I'm sure most of you are aware, I've had some serious financial issues this year. I got laid off over a year ago and despite filling out over 1000 job applications, I have yet to find any employment. I'm in school full-time and have been using my disbursement from student loans & grants to pay my bills. Earlier this year, my cat needed emergency surgery for a blockage, which depleted the last remainder of my savings. I'm now living off of fumes month-to-month, and had another big problem when my financial aid was decreased and I lost my grants. I appealed the decision, but it took over a month for them to get back to me with an answer. I was able to increase my financial aid, but now the actual payout and disbursement have been delayed by almost two months. Now I've been told it could be as late as September 3rd for me to receive my disbursement.

Thanks to this, I am now facing eviction.

Despite the fact that I've communicated almost daily with my landlord, and was told multiple times that nothing would happen before my disbursement hit, they've already (preemptively) filed eviction and I have until August 14th to come up with all of the rent for July, and August 30th for August as well as late fees. It must be paid IN FULL before 11:59 pm CST or I will be removed from the grounds at 7:00 am CST on August 15th. They are able to do this because they actually filed my eviction with the courts on July 5th and it's been 30 days, even though I'd already talked to them about what was going on, and was told everything was fine because they knew the situation.

I've already applied for help from the county and state, but the waiting lists are incredibly long and I was told not to expect any help for at least 60 days. I do not have family I can rely on for help, and I cannot take out any personal loans or credit cards because my credit score now has my student loans attached to it. I've already sold practically everything I can get money for and have been attempting to sell my crochet to garner some extra money, but that's been incredibly slow.

Raising all of the money I need would cover July and August, and once I get my disbursement in the middle of August, I will be able to pay September, October, and November. I get another disbursement in December that I will be using to move to a new, cheaper place with better management.

This fundraiser is set to automatic goal setting, so once I hit the first initial goal, which is July's rent/utilities, it will increase to the total.
