Hi we are Paul and Julie and we are from the Lighthouse Church in Fishersgate. We have been supporting a great work in Mexico helping children receive schooling and support. Valientes is a christian charity that provides a safe place for children and young teens who are from very poor families, often single families. The children were often left all day to fend for themselves while their parents are working.

Valientes provides a safe place with meals, learning support for those children who cannot attend main stream school as well as emotional support for the children and parents.

The charity is currently based in a rented building and the owner wants to sell. The fundraising will enable Valientes to buy the current building so the work that has been ongoing for the past 10 years can continue.

We starting supporting this work 10 years ago when we heard of children without shoes and we have been able to visit and see first hand the great team and work that is happening.
