We are friends and fans of Nick Metropolis. Nick has been part of the soul of Los Angeles for over 35 years.

You might know his store from its iconic signs, colorful letters, big metal dinosaurs, or retro phones and furniture... or simply from walking by and being drawn into a world of wonder and whimsy. Nick’s Hollywood Collectibles is more than a store—it’s a museum, a haven, a community hub. It’s a place where you can find everything from a vintage jukebox to a heartfelt pep talk from an older gentleman who truly cares.

Nick will be 80 years old this August. He has no savings and no place to go if his store closes. And now—after three months of struggling to pay rent during a brutal economic slowdown—he’s facing eviction.

Unless Nick can raise $10,000 in the next 7 days, he’ll lose the store… and everything inside it. His life's collection.

Why this matters:
