Help Us Give Tomacho a Chance at His Forever Home!

I’m reaching out to ask for help for a very special dog named Tomi (aka Tomacho — pronounced Toe-ma-CHO). Tomi has been at Cerritos Beach Dogs, a small but incredible non-profit rescue in Cerritos / Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, for far too long. This rescue operates on very little while saving countless dogs from the streets and euthanasia. Unfortunately, long-term shelter life has taken a toll on Tomi, causing him to become reactive due to prolonged stress. For him to be adoptable — and to quite literally save his life — he urgently needs professional training.

The training for one month costs $1,340 CDN / $973 USD / 18,000 Pesos

Tomi will need approx 2 months of training so our ideal goal is $2,680 CDN / $1,946 USD / $36,000 pesos.

Anything over & above that amount will be going straight to helping the other dogs at Cerritos Beach Dogs. They need countless items to help the shelter including, new leashes, dog food, medical supplies, new deep freeze, new fridge, more cafe supplies so they can bring more money in ETC ETC.

Cerritos Beach Dogs is currently over capacity, and to help Tomi find a lifelong home, they need to send him to "The Dog School" in San José del Cabo, a highly respected training facility known for its generational expertise in dog behavior and rehabilitation. This training will give Tomi the social skills, confidence, and emotional stability he needs to thrive outside the shelter environment. Your donation directly helps Tomi avoid euthanasia and move toward a future in a loving home. Every dollar truly matters — even a few dollars can make a life-saving difference.

A little more about Tomi:

Tomi arrived at the shelter with his siblings in April 2025, all suffering from Parvo, a severe and often fatal virus that attacks a dog’s immune system and gastrointestinal tract. Miraculously, they survived thanks to CBG! While every one of Tomi’s siblings has since been adopted, Tomi remains behind. Extended time in a high-stress shelter environment has left him overwhelmed — and he’s telling us loud and clear that he needs stability, structure, and human love.

Outside the rescue, Tomi does well with older, calm dogs and prefers to avoid puppies (something that CAN be improved with training). He’s a great leash walker, very affectionate with adults and kids, incredibly smart, and learns quickly. He is cuddly, loving, and deeply loyal once he feels safe. Tomi would thrive with an active, outdoorsy family, or on a ranch or property with space to explore. He is an energetic boy with so much love to give.
