I am a gig worker who has been struggling to keep my head above water throughout the pandemic. I had applied for rent assistance through a local program that should have covered it, but they ran out of funds before getting to me, and my landlord refused to accept any partial payment in the meantime. I was served with an eviction notice this morning. Court is Friday. My health won't let me be homeless again, especially during a pandemic when I'm immunocompromised. I won't survive it.
