An Unforgivable Crime
I stand helpless, watching this child wither away before me. Death is not stalking us because of an incurable disease, but because of an unforgivable crime: Poverty.
If I had enough money, I could have saved this child’s life. This is a cruel, heartbreaking truth.
I see the entire world championing the causes of saving animals and creatures, which are undoubtedly noble causes. But where does this world disappear to when it comes to saving a human child?
The child, who is of flesh and blood and deserves life more than anything else, will die in silence, and no hand will reach out to save him.
Has the life of a poor human become cheaper than anything else?
This is not just a personal cry; it is the cry of every father and mother who are forced to watch their children perish due to destitution.
How long will we continue to bury our loved ones under the ruins of poverty?
