We’re building something new in the Pacific Northwest—a community-run retreat center where artists, healers, and creative people can gather, host events, and find connection year-round. It’s called The Northwest Nest, and it’s all about creating experiences that make people feel at home, inspired, and part of something bigger.

The space making that possible is Cedar Lodge, a 17,000-square-foot, 100-year-old retreat center on Lake Tanwax. It has everything—14 bedrooms with sleeping for over 50 people, a full industrial kitchen, a lakeside porch, private dock, and a second building we’ll convert into a wellness and movement studio. Fully furnished and event-ready, it’s set on 2.5 acres of waterfront land and includes everything inside—down to the dishes, beds, and furniture.

The cost to lease the entire property is $19,000 per month, including most utilities, which is well below market value for a commercial resort of this size and readiness. But another investor wants to gut the lodge and turn it into a private care facility, and once that happens, this space and its potential will be gone for good.

We’ve been given the chance to secure the lease first. To do that, we need to cover rent for November, December, and January while we finalize a business loan that will make The Northwest Nest officially operational by early 2026.

Most of the rent will be covered through monthly memberships that give the community daily access to the lodge, but this GoFundMe helps us close the gap and show investors that there’s already a real, active audience behind the project.

Every dollar—and every person who donates—helps us prove what we already know: this isn’t a dream waiting to happen. It’s a business in motion, with a community ready to grow around it.
