Save 9th Sale Scouts

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of 9TH SALE SCOUT GROUP and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

9th Sale have been going for over 80 years and the building was built by the scouts a long time ago using donations and fund raising by the community and the group. The land we are on belongs to the Church and unfortunately they have decided to sell this land to developers. 

This will effect over 100 children, including many in deprived areas and many volunteers, other groups that use the hut and also the long standing history of 9th sale will be lost if this goes ahead or we can’t find alternative arrangements. This group really helps the children in the local area to develop and to learn skills other than playing video games and watching TV. It would be devastating if this group was forced to close after all the time it has been there, providing a service for the local community.

We are looking into raising funds to buy the land ourselves so that we can secure the scout hut for generations to come. Please help in any way you can, if you have sons or daughters involved in the scouts or even if you were a cub, scout or beaver yourself then you will understand our devastation. Please share far and wide and encourage people to give whatever they can to support us......
