My name is Varun from Washington, DC, and I created this campaign to support Abdulrahman, his wife Shireen, their 3-year-old son Kareem, and their infant daughter Mary. Since we first launched this page, their family has grown, but unfortunately, so have their struggles.

Life in Gaza remains unimaginably difficult. The cost of basic necessities is exorbitant and the family is still without any source of income. Access to food is unpredictable as essential goods are often deliberately restricted or unavailable. Goods available in the market one day disappear completely the next. Humanitarian aid enters Gaza in limited amounts but distribution is marred by favoritism and corruption. This instability makes even the simple act of feeding a family a daily struggle and the family depends entirely on external support to survive.

Today, Abdulrahman is a father of two young children—one just beginning life, and another growing quickly, both in urgent need of proper nutrition, care, and stability. His wife, Shireen, is doing her best as a mother under conditions no parent should ever face. This family is not asking for luxury—they are asking for the chance to live with basic dignity. To provide milk for their baby, food for their son, and the most essential needs for their home.
