Help Pigs in the Wood save 14 pigs from slaughter

After long dicussions with a farmer, he has agreed to stop breeding pigs and will no-longer have pigs on his farm.
The 14 pigs have been kept in small concrete pens without any enrichment or straw for beds. They are unable to behave naturally and some have lived in these conditions for 6 years to produce piglets, which are then taken to market for slaughter.
We have the opportunity to rescue all the pigs and one Calf, called Bruno, who had injured his pelvis.
Amongst the pigs there are 7 piglets, others did not survive for various reasons, but likely to be caused by the anxieties of the mum's not being able to behave naturally and care for their babies.
The donations will go towards feeding the pigs a better diet, giving them straw and activities to releive the monotinous boredom, castration, veterninary costs, re-homing and transportation.
We will provide regular up-dates on any developments and our re-homing team are doing their up-most to secure homes for all the pigs and Bruno.
This will not be an easy task as all the pigs are large breeds, who will need to be rehabilitated into living in a natural environment where they can forage, have access to water and socialise with other pigs.
