savantgarde

savantgarde is a hospitality journal, published quarterly, with so much love. It is written by and for the hosts and the hosted, the servers and the served, for the bar fly just as much as their tender. In its pages you can expect to find a spectra of stories, visuals, musings, and interactive delights.

savantgarde is devoted to all things tangible and sensory, therefore are a print-only publication. It is distributed and stocked within hand-selected bars, restaurants, and adjacent places of comfort across the country.

As of now are ~90% community-funded [the other 10% coming out of our personal tip jars]. The support seen for the print run of issue two bursted our hearts open, and meant we could move the operations out of the home office, up the quality by tenfold, and triple the quantity of prints. For this we are so, so grateful.

For issue three, we hope to expand into an additional city, feature twice the amount of contributors as issue two, increase the page count by over 20, and bind it all together with even more style.

We are looking at printing and hand-delivering ~600 copies of this publication at a quality that reflects the calibre of writing our wonderful contributors are putting in. This would also be our first issue beyond the stapler, being perfect-bound and printed on higher quality paperstock.

It is genuine when we state that no donation is too small. At this quantity, each print would cost just over $3, therefore every single cent not only counts, but is deeply appreciated.
